Sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith when teaching and recognize that in some subjects students certainly know a lot more than you do, and that ‘teaching’ is more an opportunity for inter-generational collaboration and sharing of ideas than a handing down of knowledge. This was certainly my experience when I (bravely) thought we could do some ‘Video Art’ with teenagers from AccessArt’s Experimental Drawing Class.
