Session Recording: Pathway for Year 1 & 2: Exploring Watercolour
In this pathway support session recording, the AccessArt team takes you through the Exploring Watercolour pathway aimed at Years 1 and 2.
This session aims to build your knowledge around how the AccessArt Primary Art Curriculum pathways are constructed and how they can be adapted to suit your school. We also share our top tips to help you improve outcomes.
In this session, the AccessArt team demonstrates a simple exercise in Week 1 of the pathway aimed at helping children explore the different qualities of watercolour. Rachel and Paula talk through the rest of the pathway, sharing their tips for improving outcomes, including practical considerations such as materials and techniques.
This recording is suitable for Art Leads, Classroom Teachers, SLT and other educators. Please note that even if you are not following this pathway, you may find the ideas and approaches relevant to other ages/pathways. The activities in this pathway can also be adapted to other ages and settings.
