Screen printing is a very enabling activity – it’s great fun and creates excellent outcomes, but because it normally requires expensive screens and lots of space, most schools aren’t able to explore it as a medium. This post shares a simple method for screen printing in the classroom without specialist or expensive equipment, which makes it easier for you to manage in school. Hi there. Would you recommend screen printing for year 6 children who haven’t had much experience in any other type of printing? Thanks

Hi Jo, while it’s a good idea for children to experience a range of printing activities through KS1 and 2, you could certainly still do screen printing without prior experience. Hi can I ask how the printed pieces can be made permanent if for example you were printing into T shirts ?
