Making Collographs with Andy Mckenzie: Week One

By Andy Mckenzie, photos by Ingo Drewry (student)

Artist, Andy Mckenzie worked with teenagers for two, one and a 1/4 hour sessions and introduced them to making collagraphs.

Small collagraph plates were created using grey card, PVA glue and textured pieces of things such as fabric, wool, wallpaper, string, coir, fruit sack, lace, netting and bubble-wrap.

The plates were allowed to dry before a layer of lacquer was sprayed to seal the surface ready for printing.
