Making A Banner At Woking College

By Sarah Pimenta

In this post participatory print artist and head of Social Fabric Sarah Pimenta shares a workshop which she facilitated at Woking College Sixth Form with a group of 16-17 year olds. Sarah’s work as a participatory artist often touches on issues of social inclusion, this project being no exception to that. The aim of this workshop was to celebrate the diversity within the college community through creating a collaborative welcome banner that would be hung in the entrance hall of the college.

What We Like About This Resource....

Working collaboratively towards a shared aim provides an alternative experience to working on individual projects. Creating together encourages listening, peer feedback and creative problem solving – all of which are hugely valuable in all areas of education” – Rachel, AccessArt
