James Nairne trained as a painter and printmaker at the Ruskin School of Art, Oxford and then did a PGCE at Reading University. His own practice builds from the sketchbooks in which he records his daily life. He is particularly interested in ideas associated with journeys and travel.
He’s taught in schools for over 25 years and is now Director of Art at Cranleigh School, where he continues his own work.
