Hi Jo, there’s a lot of different pencils on the market! As a general rule, you pay for higher quality pencils. If you’re a teacher in a school you’ll likely need to go with more budget options, but if you’re an artist then there’s lots available here: https://www.jacksonsart.com/colour/pencil-drawing/coloured-pencils, with ‘Caran D’ache’ being at the top end of the price range, but also very high quality/pigment.
