Gestural Mark Making with Acrylic Paint

By Paula Briggs and Sheila Ceccarelli

Sophie, from Sancton Wood School Cambridge, was the winner of the Sightsaver Junior Painter of the Year competition 2011, and her prize was a painting workshop for her school.

AccessArt was really proud to be chosen to deliver the workshop, and we decided to theme the session around gestural painting using acrylics. We were keen to deliver a workshop which would enable each child in the class to have a positive experience of working with drawing, collage and paint.
