Drawing Materials Sample Cards
By Paula Briggs
Paula shares how she worked with children on observational drawings of drawing materials, to create a series of cards which acted as examples of material outcomes. Useful activity to promote careful looking, exploration of material and to consolidate previous experience of drawing materials. Ideal as a whole class or workshop activity.

What a fantastic idea. I’m going to create a set of my own on those frequent days when I’m finding it difficult to get started in my own studio – one a day with no pressure on me. Marvellous.
