Adapting AccessArt: Monoprint and Painting: The Great Fire of London

By Ruth Sohn-Rethel

In the ‘Adapting AccessArt’ series, we will be spotlighting teachers who have used AccessArt resources to develop their own pathways.

In this post, teacher at Carden Primary School Ruth Sohn-Rethel, shares with us how she developed a pathway exploring The Great Fire of London for a Year 2 class (ages 6-7).

Inspired by the colours, layering, characters, and grainy monoprints from AccessArt resource “7-8 Year Olds Explore Monoprinting and Oil Painting”, Ruth adapts an exciting exploration of drawing, print and paint to enrich a popular topic taught in schools.
