Introducing the Spirals Pathway: Zoom Recording
In this pathway support session recording, the AccessArt team takes you through the Spirals Pathway aimed at Years 1 and 2.
This session aims to build your knowledge around how the AccessArt Primary Art Curriculum pathways are constructed, and how they can be adapted to suit your school. We also share our top tips to help you improve outcomes.
In this session we introduce you to the idea that drawing can include the whole body, and we can vary the kinds of marks that we make by changing our grip, pressure and speed. Paula demonstrates these concepts in a spiral drawing warm up which you will do with your pupils in this pathway. Grab a pen and give it a go!
This recording is suitable for Art Leads, Classroom Teachers, SLT and other educators. Please note that even if you are not following this pathway, you may find the ideas and approaches relevant to other ages/pathways. The activities in this pathway can also be adapted to other ages and settings.
