Artist Frances Hatch generously shares her magical processes for creating site specific art, inspired by a variety of environments including costal, woodland and urban environments and using materials found at the location.

This project was shared with AccessArt as part of the 40 Artist Educator Project, funded by Arts Council England, aiming to highlight and celebrate artist-led teaching and facilitation.

Creating Artwork using Improvised Materials from the Landscape: Simplicity, Resourcefulness, Economy

This resource can adapted to suit any age group at any level of study or exploration. It connects us with our cave-dwelling ancestors. It encourages real investigation of all that surrounds us for as soon as we slow down and hang around, we realize what a fabulous amount of material there is to see and use.
