Session Recording: Improving Outcomes in Drawing

This hour-long session explores some of the simple and more advanced ways we can improve outcomes and experiences in art. In this session, which focuses on drawing, we share observations and experiences gathered over the years to help you understand the importance of materials, methods and approaches.

The AccessArt team provides practical guidance and pedagogical insight to help you build upon existing practice in your classroom. You will also develop your understanding of drawing as an activity and as an outcome and skills to help facilitate a creative and inclusive exploration of drawing in others.

In this session, we are also joined by Laura Mayes, who shares how she approached improving drawing outcomes in her Primary School when she took over the role of art lead.

This session is suitable for educators working in all settings, including EYFS, Primary and Secondary Schools, Health & Community Care, Home Education, Lifelong Learning and Museum and Gallery Education.
