Collecting, Arranging, Drawing
This activity for EYFS and SEND aims to help children develop their collecting skills. Students will curate their own collection by selecting objects and arranging them in a cardboard box. They will go on to draw their personalised collections. Children will end up with totally unique drawings, whilst experimenting with new materials and practising their hand-eye co-ordination.

Could we please have some examples of real Reception children’s work? This really looks like either a considerably older child or an adults. When trying to engage staff with following these ideas it would be much better if there were truly representative examples.

Hi Charlotte, the resources on the website show a combination of documented lessons from schools and other educational settings, as well as some produced by us to demonstrate a particular material of technique. While some of these show process and outcomes of an adult content creator rather than a child, the aim is to guide the teacher, so that they are able to deliver the activity in their setting. The outcomes will all be unique and individual to each child or setting so there’s no ‘standard’ or example to meet. I hope this helps!
