Making Mini-Me! Modroc Sculpture for Children

Making Mini-me is a construction based sculpture workshop aimed at children ages 6 to 12. The Making Mini-Me Online Resource shows you how to:

- make a paper and wire armature;
- develop the character of your sculpture;
- use Mod roc to cover the armature;
- use paint and found materials from around the house to turn your sculpture into you!

For parents, teachers and carers:

The Making Mini-me online resource teaches children how to combine and manipulate different materials, and introduces children to using simple tools (pliers) and sculptural concepts and techniques.

The illustrated online resource provides step by step instruction (no experience on part of child or adult is needed) but is also designed to empower and enable the child to create his or her own sculpture - the end result is not prescriptive.

Materials you will need to make a Mini-me Modroc Sculpture:

Newspaper
Wire
Mod Roc
Paint
Fabric scraps
Glue

Scissors
Paintbrushes
Old Yogurt Pots
Pliers
